HOSPITAL AFFILIATIONS

 

Our pediatricians and certified nurse practitioners have consulting privileges at Carolina's Health Care Blue Ridge (formerly Grace Hospital). This means we no longer admit sick children to the local hospital.  Rather, when a child needs hospitalization, we will recommend admission to the pediatric hospitalist service at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory, or will arrange for admission at one of our regional children’s hospitals (Levine’s in Charlotte, Brenner’s in Winston-Salem, or Mission in Asheville).

 

Our newborn deliveries still take place at CHS Blue Ridge in Morganton, where there is a Level III neonatal special care unit staffed by neonatologists who attend all high-risk deliveries.  They also provide routine care for health newborns.  Our staff coordinate the follow up visits to our office.  Circumcisions are performed regularly in the office rather than in the hospital.
