Kristie N. Anderson, MSN, RN, CPNP
Kristie Anderson received her Associate's degree in nursing from Western Piedmont in 1995, her Bachelors of Science in nursing from UNCG in 2004, and her Masters of Nursing from State University of New York in 2008. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Prior to beginning practice as a Nurse Practitioner, Kristie had been an employee of Mountain View Pediatrics for the previous 18 years. She is married and has three children.

Kelley R. Bradley, CPNP, IBCLC
Kelley Bradley is a native of Burke County and has returned “home” to be closer to her family. She is married and has three young children. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in May of 2003 with her Masters of Nursing. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. During her years of practice as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner she has taken a special interest in helping patients who are overweight. While living in Raleigh she developed a family based program that focuses on becoming healthy as a family. She hopes to provide a similar service to her patients here in Burke County. She also enjoys caring for all aspects of teen health issues including female menstrual problems, STD prevention and treatment, and birth control.
In 2013 she also became a Certified Lactation Consultant. She takes great joy in helping mothers and babies with any breast feeding issues.
Kelley enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing tennis, working out, fishing, and watching sports (go Heels!). She has always felt a calling to help children and feels honored to care for your children and teens.

Buffie Buchanan, FNP-C
Buffie Buchanan is a native of Burke County. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from UNC Chapel Hill in 1995. She completed her Bachelor's in Nursing at Lenoir Rhyne College in 1999. She worked at Catawba Valley Medical Center Emergency Department for ten years. She went on the Nurse Practitioner Program at Duke and recieved her Post-Master's Certificate in 2009. Buffie is married to a law enforcement officer and has two children. Buffie works in the Morganton Office.

Christopher R. Clapp, MD
Dr. Clapp is a graduate of Appalachian State University and a 1994 graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He completed his internship in Pediatrics at Naval Medical Center San Diego. He then served as a general practitioner with the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, California before returning to San Diego to complete his pediatric residency in 1999. Dr. Clapp was then stationed at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, North Carolina where he served as a general pediatrician and was medical director of the newborn nursery. He left the Navy to return to Western North Carolina and joined Mountain View Pediatrics in 2001. Dr. Clapp is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Michael B. Gonzalez, MD
Dr. Gonzalez is a graduate of North Carolina State University and Eastern Virginia Medical School. He joined Mountain View Pediatrics in 2003 after completing his pediatric residency at University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Palmetto-Richland Memorial Hospital. His wife, Anne, is a Family Practice physician at A Women's View in Hickory. They have three children. Dr. Gonzalez is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Rudy T. Medina, MD
Dr. Medina is a board certified pediatrician and a graduate of the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of California Irvine Medical Center in 1991. He was in private practice with Riverside Medical Clinic prior to relocating to North Carolina in 1997. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Brenda Strand, MSN, RN, CPNP
Brenda Strand received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 1985 and her Master of Nursing from University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Denver in 1999. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. Prior to joining Mountain View Pediatrics she served 20 years in the Air Force in various roles as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner. After her military retirement she transitioned into the civilian pediatric practice arena. She arrives to us in 2009 from the panhandle of Florida with her husband and three children. Hobbies include horseback riding, reading and hiking.

Micah Wilson, NP-C
Micah Wilson is a North Carolina native, raised in Milton, NC (just outside Danville, Virginia). He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at Averett University in 1999. He then served 3 years as a missionary in Macedonia and Turkey, where he was involved in church-planting, teaching in an international school, and humanitarian aid. He returned in 2002 to start a family and pursue a career in nursing. He received his Associate’s degree in Nursing from Piedmont Community College in 2004 and then moved to Hickory, NC where he still resides. He has 10 years experience as a critical care nurse. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2011 and his Master’s of Science in Nursing in 2014, both from Western Carolina University. He is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He has a special interest in health promotion and autism spectrum disorder. Micah is married to “the love of his life”, Heidi Wilson, and together they raise their two sons, Luke and Noah. They are active members of their local church where they lead worship and a small group. They enjoy traveling, music, missions, family, and all things outdoors. Micah works in the Valdese office with Dr. Gonzalez.
